€11,00After years of roasting Brazil Fazenda Pântano a time has come for a change. Due to adverse weather conditions this year in Brazil, our longest standing lot didn't make it, and we ended up looking for an alternative. We diligently roasted huge number of Brazilian samples, cupped them and found ourselves faced with a task that's no joke - trying to find a similar taste profile many of you got used to, uniformity, body and price range. With recent developments on the green coffee market and increasing political instability with international trade this was one of the hardest purchases to make. Luckily one morning we cupped this beautiful, silky and smooth coffee hoping it won't break the bank. And so this Serra Negra became a worthy substitute for Fazenda Pântano this year.
Serra Negra, or “black mountain” is a Brazilian profile that captures the most classic profile from Minas Gerais. It shines through with notes of chocolate milk, nougat and marble cake. Works great with milk too. It's a real workhorse and an all-rounder that will please many.
