You just woke up after the summer afternoon nap. That afternoon bliss leaves you oblivious of time and place. You quickly put on your flip flops and walk outside to meet up with friends waiting on you. But there’s one thing that can bring you back up to speed again - creamy, chocolate double espresso from your favourite spot that happens to be on your way.
Brazil is well-known for its geographical vastness. In the central parts of Brazil, the Cerrado plateaus cover the states Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso, Tocantins and Minas Gerais, turning it into one of the largest coffee production areas in the world. In the west of the state of Minas Gerais, several farmers have started to concentrate on cultivating mainly specialty coffees, forming the associated region of Cerrado Mineiro. Well defined seasons, like hot, wet summers and pleasantly cool, dry winters are typical characteristics of this region. Coffees from Cerrado Mineiro stand for traceability, high altitudes and fine cups. Every bag is labeled with a number that verifies its exact origin. On www.cerradomineiro.org further comprehensive information about this Fazenda can be found through inserting the bag’s tag number.
Fazenda Paraíso has 756 ha of drip irrigated coffee plantations and belongs to the Veloso family, who was a pioneer in the Cerrado region and has been producing coffee since 1970. Nowadays, the family became a business group, which runs several farms in the region. Passion, respect for the land, high technology and modern business practices lead to excellence, producing specialty coffees with the sweet and full body cup. Sweet hazelnut, caramel base, chocolate, toffee and nougat are the notes found in this Brazilian cup.
This coffee has a profile that is balanced and medium bodied, with familiar flavours of chocolate, roasted nuts, cookies, caramel and milk cream. Its creamy structure makes it perfect for espresso, moka, turkish or coffees served with milk.
