This microlot was produced in the village of Gracias Dios, a small community located in the Peruvian Amazon. The area's main focus is specialty coffee production, while locals process their lots as washed, honey and naturals.
The area is covered with a great variety of flora and soil, containing a magnitude of properties suitable for growing coffee. The Carranza Montenegro family settled here over 40 years ago, and have dedicated their lives to cultivating coffee, from generation to generation.
The producers that participated in this lot with their coffee, are:
• Ronal Carranza Montenegro
• José Luis Bargoza Gonzales
• Mercedes Carranza Montenegro
This natural lot has been fermented for 72 hours and then dried for 15 days on a solar dryer. The coffee is moved regularly, so that it dries evenly while preventing the base from overheating.
