Coffee plays a central role in the area, with cultivated coffee trees covering more than 50 square kilometres of the landscape. Approximately 20% of the surrounding land is fertile and used for agricultural cultivation, including coffee production, while another 20% consists of swamps and marshlands.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe washing stations in this region were among the first locations in Ethiopia where Project Origin implemented its Carbonic Maceration processing techniques.
